How to flash BIOS using AMI Flash Utility? (For windows version)

1. Go to CMOS Setup and set the “Security/Flash Write Protection” to “Disabled”. Then Save and Exit.
2. Load Windows XP/Vista.
3. Download AMI Flash Utility here: http://www.emaxxtech.com/products.php?id=9 and save it. Unzip it after downloaded.
4. Select & execute the “AFUWIN.EXE”.
4.1There will display warning information, just click “ok”.
5. Follow below steps:
5.1. Press open and load “.ROM” file.
5.2. Select the item “Program All Blocks, Main BIOS Image, Boot Block, NVRAM, Do not Check ROM ID and Load ROM File’s Optional (if under Windows XP).
5.3. After selecting all necessary adjustment, press “Flash” button to start flashing.
5.4. After finishing all the steps, system will auto restart.

Note:

- AMI BIOS Flash under Vista operating system must choose the administrator status to open the AFUWIN.EXE. Just right click the “AFUWIN.EXE” and choose “Run as Administrator”. Follow Windows XP procedure to flash.

- Some motherboard implement BIOS Write Protection, you must first disabled this before flashing BIOS.
